In the name of God Amen. I, John Riegel Senior of Tulpehocken Township in the County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, Miller being old and infirm in body, but of perfect Mind and Memory, Thanks be given unto God therefore, calling unto Mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to Die, Do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, in order following, That is to say, I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it, and for my Body I recommend it to the Earth, to be decently interned at the Discretion of my Executors. And as touching with Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this Life, I give, devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

Imprimis, It is my Will, and I do order, that in the first place, all my Just Debts and Funeral Charges be paid and satisfied.

Item. It is further my Will, and I do order, that Catherine Elizabeth my beloved Wife, shall have and to keep all and singular my Personal Estate in and for her own use, during her Natural Life, But when she is willing to give something away to her children, shall be Equally divided amongst my ten children hereafter named. And after her decease, what is left shall be Equally divided among my Sons and Daughters, Sarah, Simon, Philip Adam, John, Catherina Elizabeth, Catherina, Barbara, John Adam, Daniel, Susannah & Mary Elizabeth or their heirs or Representatives. Allowing my Eldest son five Shillings for his first Birth Right over and above his equal share, with the rest of my children. Provided that upon this condition, that either of my children shall have so much less, as they have been advanced by me in my Lifetime, so make it come to an Equal share, as aforesaid. And I do make and constitute Simon Riegel and Philip Adam Riegel my beloved Sons Executors of this my Last Will & Testament. In Witness whereof I have herewith set my Hand and Seal. Dated the seventh Day of January, A.D. one Thousand seven hundred and eighty three.
