Last Will and Testament of Johannes Diel Noecker

Written 1743

Died about 1757

In the Name of God, Whereas I John Diel Noecker of tulpehocken in the County of Lancaster called to mind that all men are mortal and the hour of death uncertain I will therefore order my house that my family after my decease may know how to act concerning my earthly estate having yet my perfect health understanding and memory. First - I yield and commend my soul to almighty God who gave it and desire that my death body may be decently buried in a Christian manner not doubting almighty God will give it me again on the day of resurrection for sake of the inestimable merit of Jesus Christ my Lord Amen. As to what concerns my worldly estate so shall my son Martin and his heirs have that piece of land which was cut off for him of mine (by the surveyor) for here directly and for ever and my son Christoph Noecker shall have that part of which I live here directly and forever. Martin shall pay five pounds for the use of daughters and son Christoph fifteen pounds Pennsylvania currency. I give further to my son Christoph the twin wagons and the four horses with all the gear therewith belonging, the rest of my moveables shall be equally divided among my four children to wit Martin Noecker, Christoph Noecker, Johanna Lehnigh, and Regina Mosser excepting the money if any should remain such I give to my son and I do revoke and discount all former wills by me heretofore made be they in writing or spoken and ordain this only to be my last will and testament for the last confirmation thereof I have set my hand and seal thereto the eighteenth day of November in the year of Christ our Lord 1743. Signed sealed and pronounced to be his last will and testament in our presence by the said John Diel Noecker.
