(Translation of the Will of Frederick Kreamer, Deceased, originally written in German. Spelling as per Will.)
In the Name of God Amen,
I Frederick Kreamer in Greenwich Township Berks County State of Pennsylvania am weak and sick in Body, but yet thank God in good memory and understanding, I have taken in mind the mortality of the people, therefore I make herewith my Last Will and Testament and share my worldly goods in following manner
Firstly - I commend my Soul into the hand of the Great and mercyful God that had given me it, and my body to be buried into the earth in a Christian like manner from whence it was taken and that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid
2nly - It is my will and I order that my beloved wife Elisabeth Kreamer after my decease her dwelling in the house were I live besides the yearly exception of my two sons George Kreamer and Frederick Kreamer, Jr and that as long as she remains a widow and no longer should she move away then she shall have no right to rent it out, then it falls back to the possessor of the plantation to my son Frederick Kreamer, Jr.
3rdly I bequeath to my beloved wife Elisabeth Kreamer in money the sum of fifty six pounds and all the house furniture that she brought to me and one half of all the linnen that we now have.
4thly - My will is and order that my four sons shall have forprized (?). Firstly George Kreamer twenty five pounds, Frederick Kreamer, Jr., fifteen pounds, John Kreamer, fifteen pounds, Peter Kreamer, fifteen pounds good and lawful money.
5thly - My will is and order that the remainder of my estate shall be shared among my seven children in equal share namely, George, Frederick, John, Peter, Elisabeth, Anna Maria, and Christina.
6thly - because my Estate is part in bonds that are not yet due so is my will and order that each one from the eldest till to the youngest shall draw twenty five pounds, if the youngest has the abovementioned sum, then it shall begin that the oldest again and so on untill each one has his full share.
7thly - My will is that the iron stove shall be in the house unhindered as long as my wife has her dwelling there and no longer then each one of my abovementioned Children shall have their share thereon.
8thly - My will is that after my decease all my movable goods be sold publicly through my Executor and to exhibit a true inventory thereof
9thly - Further I bequeath to my wife Elizabeth one cow to have her choice and two sheep to have the choice among my sheep to her own.
and lastly I order, nominate and name to executor of this my Last Will and Testament my friend George Michael Heldenbrant and make herewith null and void all each will and testament by me aforemade, and I ratify this to be my Last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal on the 9th day of March, 1786.
