In the Orphans' Court for Berks county
In Re: Estate of William N. Yerger, deceased
___________first and final account of Cyrus Yerger, administrator
1884 March 4 - and now the above mentioned account having been called for audit and adjoined to March 14th,1884 when it was fully and finally heard.
A.B. Reeser, Esq, appeared as counsel for the accountant who was also personally present
The decedent died intestate on the 2nd day of July A.D. 1885, and left to survive him, a widow Theresa Yerger and children & grand children as heirs at law and next of kin, to wit.
The accountant is surcharged at his request with $113.99 for hay, straw that sold since filing account.
He is also allowed additional credits, as follows:
Publishing sale of hay and straw | $1.14 |
Carryng sale J.G. Haag | 6.00 |
For making repairs | .25 = #4.42 |
The decedent's family book was also put in evidence from which, it appears, that advancements were made to certain of his children as follows:
to Cyrus Yerger | $300.00 |
to Elizabeth Heffner | 100.00 |
to James Yerger | 100.00 |
to Rebecca Annetta Kauffman | $300.00 |
to Wilson Yerger | 189.65 |
to Diana Claretta Seidel | 300.00 |
$1,289.65 |
This family book further shows, that he intended to pay in advance to his other children, to his seven children with his first wife $182.00, it being money she had inherited and given him. Four of them have in his life time received their shares of it from him. Elizabeth Heffner, William Yerger, and Amos Yerger have their shares still to receive. There do not appear to be any objections to the payment of these sums, as set out in the decedent's family book, hence distribution will be made as desired by the decedent.
No creditors appeared, nor are any exceptions filed to the account. Upon proceeding to the examination of the account, the same was found to be correct.
