I Samuel R. Schmeck of the City of Reading, Berks County, being weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding do make and declare the following as my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills heretofore made by me.
First: I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied by my executrix hereinafter named as soon as conveniently can be after my decease.
Item: I give and devise unto my beloved wife Henrietta L. Schmeck, the use occupation rents, issue and profits of all my property of whatsoever nature or description the same may be, real, personal, and mixed, for and during the term of her natural life, and after her decease, I give and divise the same to my three children share and share alike. But the share my son Henry Augustus shall be invested in good real estate security. And the interest there shall be paid to him during his life and after his death the principal shall belong and be paid to his heirs, and I hereby appoint Mathias Mengel to be the trustee of the share of my said son Henry Augustus.
Item: In regard to my mill property situated in Robeson Township said County of Berks and also the house and lot of ground situated in Pine Street in said City of Reading; I give unto my beloved wife, executrix hereinafter named, full discretionary power to sell both or either of the said properties at public or private sale, with full power to execute the necessary deeds of conveyance for the same, and the proceeds I direct shall be invested and my said wife shall have the interest there of during life, and after her death, the principal sum shall be divided among my three children as above mentioned.
Lastly, I nominate and appoint my beloved wife Henrietta L. Schmeck, Executrix of this my last will and testament.

On the 12th of September A.D. 1861 appeared Adam Heilman & J Hagerman the subscribing witnesses to the Will they being duly Sworn did depose and say that they were present and did see and hear the Testator Samuel R. Schmeck sign seal publish proclaimed and declare the fore going instrument as and for his Last Will and Testament and that at the time of the doing thereof he was of sound mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief
