Be it Remembered, I Reuben Smeck of the City of Reading, County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, and considering the uncertainty of life, do therefore make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following, that is to say:
First: I order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid out of my estate by my Executrix, herein after named, as soon after my death as shall her be found convenient.
Second: Whatever nature or kind or where so ever situate at the time of my decease, I do hereby give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret E. Smeck, to have and hold the same to her and her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever; but she shall not make any debts or liens upon my real estate, but instead shall sell the same in case she needs more than the income for her maintenance and support.
And lastly, I do make, constitute and appoint my said wife Margaret E. Smeck to be Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made and declaring this to be my last Will and Testament.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the Twenty Fifth Day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred one.
Reuben Smeck (seal)
Signed sealed published and declared by the testator above named, as and for my last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who have hereunto, at his request, subscribed, our names in his presence, and in the presence of each other, as witnesses hereto.
