The Last Will and Testament of Mary Paine Widow of Thomas Paine Deceased of Robeson Township Berks County and State of Pennsylvania being weak in body but of a Perfect and Sound disposing mind and memory, blessed be God for the same, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) ---
first my will is, that any funeral charges and just debts be paid as soon as possible after my Decease---
secondly I give and bequeath ten pounds to Sarah Deweese (my sd. husband's daughter by a former wife) to her, her heirs and assigns forever---
thirdly I give and bequeath the whole of the remainder of my property (of what kind soever?) to the children of my two sisters (Susannah Sheepherd and Elizabeth Curruthers) to each of them share and share alike to them their heirs and assigns forever, And I do empower my herein after named Executor to recover my said property whether bonds, notes, book debts or otherwise, and divide the same as above directed---
And Lastly I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my friend John Beidler---Executor of this my Last Will and Testament and hereby revoke and make null and void, all former wills by me heretofore made, allowing only this, and no other, to be my Last Will and Testament---
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of July in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and three---
And further I, Mary Paine, entrusted William Paine, son of my late Husband with three receipts, one from sd. Wm. Paine's son Thomas P. for four Pound, one from Samuel Webb, for a considerable sum which I disremember, and one from Cornelius Deweese for thirty pounds, which receipts was for Legacees which I paid to the aforesaid Legatees,in the performance of my said husband's Last Will as an Executrix, who promised to return them but hath not performed.
