Greenwich 1888
I Jeremiah Heckman of the Township of Greenwich in the County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding do make and publish this, my last will and testament revoking and making void all former will by me at anytime heretofore made.
And first; I direct that my body be decently interred and my funeral expenses by my Executor hereafter mentioned paid out of my estate as soon as conveniently can be done after my decease. My Executor shall erect suitable tombstones for me and my wife.
As to such estate as it hath pleased God to entrust me with I dispose of the same as follows.
Item; I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah Heckman all my household furniture, farm implements, stock, also all of that certain tract of farmland which I know occupy situated in the Township, County and State aforesaid , adjoining lands of Abraham Becker, George Kramer, John Frey decd., and others. Containing about twenty six acres with appurtenances, during her natural life or as long as she may have my name. Yet she may sell the personal property or as much as she chooses to do. My Executor shall have the right to lent money for her, if she need for paying debts and keep the farm in repair, and in good condition, my son Elias Heckman shall have the right to lease the farm from her and paying or giving her the one hlf of the products or income for each and every year, and after her marriage or death my Executor shall hold an appraisement of all my stock and sell it to the highest bidder at public sale and hold also an appraisement of the above described land according to law. My son Elias Heckman shall have the right to accept or take the land at the appraisement figure if he chooses, otherwise put it also at public sale. And sell it to the highest bidder. All moneys derived out of my estate shall be divided equally among my two children Elias Heckman and Sarah Kunkel wife of Peter Kunkel their heirs and assigns forever, after all my debts are paid.
Lastly; I nominate, constitute and appoint my son Elias Heckman, to be the Executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I Jeremiah Heckman the testator have to this my last will written on one sheet of paper, set my hand and seal this Second day of July A.D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty five.

Signed, Sealed published and declared by the Jeremiah Heckman as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, who, at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

On the 4th day of June A.D.1888 before me personally appeared Martin Zettlemoyer and C.F. Riegel, the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will, who being duly sworn according to Law did dispose and say that they were present and did see and hear Jeremiah Heckman, testator, sign, seal, publish and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and Testament, that at the time of so doing, he was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.
