Last Will and Testament of Jacob H. Schmeck
I Jacob H. Schmeck of the Township of Ruscombmanor of the County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.
- I direct that my body shall be decently interred, and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life.
- I order and direct my hereinafter named executor to procure and have put up at my grave a fitting tombstone, to be paid out of my estate.
- I order and direct my hereafter named executor as soon as conveniently may be after my death to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses.
- I give, devise and bequeath all my estate, that shall remain after my just debts, funeral expenses, and other necessary expenses incurred by my hereafter named executor shall have been paid, whether real, personal or mixed, of whatever kind and where so ever found or situate, unto the person with whom I shall be living at the time of my death.
- Lastly I appoint my esteemed friend Joshua S. Becker of Maidencreek Township, Berks County, to be executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof, I, Jacob H. Schmeck, the testator, have to this, my will written on one sheet of paper, set my hand and seal this Fifteenth day of February A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Jacob H. Schmeck as and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us who have here to subscribed our names as witnesses there to, in the presence of said testator and of each other.
