Last Will and Testament of Isaac Heckman

1878 Reading

In the name of God Amen, I Isaac Heckman of the City of Reading, County of Berks and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound disposing and memory and understand and knowing the uncertainty of this transitory life do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit;

Item it is my will and I order direct that after my decease my body shall be buried in a decent and Christian manner by my Executor.

Item it is my will that a judgment bond which is held by Reuben and Nathan Heckman for five hundred and ninety four dollar and exactly no cents shall be put paid out of my Estate.

Item it is my will and I do hereby give and divide the whole of my Estate Real, Personal and mixed unto my three sons, Reuben Heckman, Abraham Heckman and Jeremiah Heckman to be divided in three equal shares, they having helped and assisted me in my old age and are justly entitled to the same.

And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my said mentioned three sons Reuben Heckman, Abraham Heckman and Jeremiah Heckman to be the executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by ne made declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the testator have hereto set my hand and seal this Eighth day of November AD one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven.

Signed sealed and declared by the testator to be his last will and testament and at his request we have signed as witnesses.

The 30th day of July AD 1878. Before ne P Y Edelman, Register of Wills personally appeared George Printz and Matthias Mengel, the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will having been duly sworn according to Law did dispose and say that they were present and did see and hear Isaac Heckman the testator sign seal publish and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament and that at the time of so doing he was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge observation and belief.
