To the honorable the Judges of the Court of common pleas of the county of Berks at an Orphans Court held at Reading in and for the county of Berks January AD 1812
The petition of Jacob Grett eldest son of Andrew Grett late of Windsor township in the county aforsaid, yeoman, deceased.
Humbley showeth
That your petitioner's said father lately died intestate leaving Elizabeth his widow and nine children, to wit Jacob your petitioner, Daniel, Andrew, John, Christian, Samuel and Solomon of whom the three last named are yet in their minority, also Mary intermarried with Philip Smith, and Susanna intermarried with Joseph Spring, also his Grandchildren to wit Charles and Mary, both minors, and children of the intestate's oldest son John Adam deceased.
That the said intestate died seized in his demesne as of fee of and in a certain messuage plantation and tract of land situate in Windsor Township aforesaid containing about one hundred and twenty seven acres be the same more or less being the same tract of land for which the Said intestate obtained a patent from the Commonwealth dated 28 August 1809 excepting nevertheless fifty acres of the said tract which the Said intestate sold to his son John Adam now deceased. Also of said nine acres of land in Windsor Township in the same County aforesaid being part of fifteen acres which the said intestate purchased of Jacob Schlappich
Also of and in thirty one acres & thirty two parches of woodland situate in Greenwich township in the county aforesaid. - with the appurtenances to the whole belonging.
Your Petitioner therefore prays your Honors to award an Inquest to make partition of valuation of the premises & to make return there of according to Law.
