Secondly it is my will and do order that my Executors, as soon as conveniently may be after my decease to sell at public sale the residue of my household kitchen furniture, other implements of husbandry not by my wife chosen. And also to sell my farm, containing ninety seven acres, more or less, for the highest price that may be gotten for the same at Public or Private sale, hereby giving granting and empowering my executors to execute and deliver conveyance or conveyances Deed or Deeds for the share conveyances of the same as I myself could or might have done in my lifetime, to the purchaser or purchasers, thereof, and the money arising out of the same I do order that my Executors, invest the same by purchasing a small house in the city of Reading and keep them well insured in a safe, well conducted, responsible fire insurance company. For the use and benefit of my wife Hannah during her widowhood, after the decease of my wife, and funeral expenses are paid, I do order that my Executors apply the income to the maintenance of my son Charles W. after his decease and his funeral expenses are paid. She must look to her mother for her portion as she wronged me out of four or five hundred dollars, of your father’s money, which she received from the odd Fellows, and I had to pay the doctor bills and maintain him, she said take the fool to the poor house.
And lastly, I nominate my trusty brother Charles Schmeck and my son James M., my Executors of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making null and void all former Wills and Testaments by me made, ratifying and allowing this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.
