In the name of God, Amen.
I the undersigned Daniel Keller, of Alsace Township, in the County of Berks and state of Pennsylvania, although frail, sick and weak, but still possess and enjoy my full recollection, memory power of reason and judgment, as well as in my well days, for which I heartily thank God, and consider that we must all die, and that the time of our death is uncertain and that man should at all times be prepared to leave this World, make and declare herewith these presents as my Last Will and Testament, namely;
First: - I commend my body to the Earth, the Soul to the Hand of my God, my hereafter named wife Elizabeth, as Executor, shall cause me to be buried in a Christian manner, and what concerns my Worldly Estate consists of three pieces of ground in Alsace Township, said County, with two dwelling houses and other buildings thereon and is various movable goods, I give and devise all the above mentioned property to my wife Elizabeth as long as she lives and remains in widowhood, but should she marry, her rights are only to remain for herself, but her husband is to have nothing to do with it, should she die before the youngest child reaches it age, then all the personal property shall be sold, and the land leased, until the age of the youngest. And after her death, all shall be sold and made into shares in the following manner; all shall be divided into equal shares, excepting should one or the other, not conduct themselves properly, my wife Elizabeth shall have the right to exclude such one from inheritance. Should my wife become in need she shall have the right to sell off my property so much as her needs demand, and one year after her death shall all be sold and divided in equal shares excepting my daughter Esther, I bequeath for her share seventy five cents, and no more but the others of my children in equal shares.
And lastly I nominate herewith my wife Elizabeth as Executor of this my Last Will and Testament. Done the 13th day of May 1839.

Berks County SS On the 2nd day of September A D 1839 there appeared Daniel Spengler and Elias Fiand witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing, who being duly sworn according to law did depose and say that they were present and did see and hear the Testator Daniel Keller sign seal, publish, pronounce and declare the instrument of writing as and for his last Will and Testament and that at the time of the doing thereof, he the said testator was of sound mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge, observation and belief.
