Translation of the Will of Christina Haag deceased
In the Name of God Amen, I the undersigned Christina Haag of Penn Township, Berks County and State of Pennsylvania, Being indeed infirm and sick, but of sound mind, memory and Judgment & enjoy it as much so as in my healthy state for which I heartily thank God, and considering that all Men have once to die, but uncertain when the time shall come, Make and declare herewith these presents, to be my last Will and Testament, namely. First of all I commend my immortal soul into the hand of God, to his eternal Mercy, and my Body to the Earth.- and as to my Worldly Estate, consisting of an equal moiety or half of a Farm, situates in Upper Bern township, Berks County, where the one half part thereof belongs to my son William, and the other half to me, My son William shall also have, for which he shall pay the sum, I have paid for it, one year after my decease, and my Executor shall give him a Deed or conveyance for it, and as touching the remainder of my Estate, that my Children shall divide amongst themselves, and what they cannot divide, my Executors shall sell at public vendue, and after my just debts and funeral expenses be paid, the remainder shall be divided in six equal shares, and be divided amongst my Children, the share coming to my deceased Daughter Sarah, her children shall have, and when all is done and equally divided among my Children and grand children & equally it shall be.-
And lastly I appoint my son John and Daniel to be my Executors, and declaring again this record to be my last Will and Testament, and revoking all others by me heretofore made, Wills and Testaments, and have authenticated this with my own hand signature and Seal thereto affixed, done the fourth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty three.-
Signed, sealed and declared as the last Will and Testament of the aforesaid Christina Haag in presence of us, different parts was interlined before signing. William Ritchart Michael K. Boyer.-

To the Honorable Robert Porter Esquire President and his associate Judges of the Court of Common pleas, now composing an Orphans Court in and for the County of Berks. The Petition of Christina Haak widow and relict of John Haak late of Tulpehocken Township deceased. Humbly ----------- that left orphan? six children two of whom to wit Daniel and William are minors under the age of fourteen year and have no guardians to take care of their persons and Estates, your Petitioner therefore humbly prays your honor to appoint some proper person or persons as Guardians of said children.

The account of John Haag & Daniel Haag Executors of the last will and testament of Christina Haag late of Penn Township Berks County widow deceased. The accountants charge themselves, with all singular the goods and chattels rights and credits which were of the said deceased, agreeably to an inventory thereof filed in the Registers Office at Reading Amounting to $2343.82 1/2. The accountants crave allowance for the following disbursements made out of the estate aforesaid to wit by cash. $108.96.

Received each of us the sum of three Hundred & seventy two Dollars forty seven and half cents in full. Signed George Haag, Michael Henne, Daniel Haag, Wiliam Haag (one l in his name).
Transcriber's note: six heirs are George, Catherine (married Michael Henne), Daniel, William and Sarah (married David Haag). Document is two pages with account details. It appears William paid $885.18 ½ for the Real Estate deeded in will.
