Chairman, Publicity Committee of the 175th Anniversary
To make the 175th Anniversary of the Founding of Reading a real success, advertising and publicity of an unusual character was necessary in order to induce many thousands of visitors and former residents to come to Reading's "party."
Mr. Smith, as always, was equal to the job, for it was under his direction that the advertising and publicity work was carried out so effectively. It was under his direction, also, that this program was compiled and published.
All this aside from his duties as Sales Manager of the Consumers' Gas Company.
