THIS INDENTURE made the fourteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty one Between SAMUEL A. HAINES of the township of Bern in the County of Berks and state of Pennsylvania, and Amanda Elizabeth his wife of the first part - and DAVID BUCK of the Borough of Womelsdorf in the County and state aforesaid of the second part ~ WITNESSETH that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of fourteen hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents- the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged. We are granted bargained sold aliened enfieffed released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien infieff release and confirm unto the said part of the second part his heirs and assigns All that certain Messuage tenement and lot of ground situate in Bern Township in the County and State aforesaid Bounded and described as follows to wit: BEGINNING at a stone (unreadable) of lane of JACOB BARTLET thence along the same North sixty two degrees East eleven perches and three tenths to a stone thence along the River Schuylkill South fifty degrees East six perches and three quarters to a stone South(?) forty four and a half degrees East six perches to a stone thence along land of G. HAIN South(?) eighty one degrees and three quarters West fifteen perches and four tenths to a stone thence along land of HENRY RAPP West twenty three degrees and a half West six perches to a stone. South sixty one degrees West one perch and three tenths to a stone thence along land of DANIEL LENHART. North(?) twenty two degrees west four perches and eight tenth to the place of Beginning. Containing one hundred and fifty two perches perches strict measure. It being the same premises which DANIEL O. KOLLERand Mariah(?) his wife by their indenture bearing date the thirtieth day of March for the consideration therein (unreadable) did grant and confirm unto SAMUEL A. HAINS party hereto in fee as in and by the said in past recited Indenture recorded in the office for the recording of deeds at Reading in the County of Berks in deed book A Vol. 12 (or 72?) page 434 relation(?) being thereunto had more fully and at (unreadable) appears ~ TOGETHER with all and singular the buildings improvements ways waters, water courses, rights liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions(?) and remainders rents - (unreadable) and profits thereof: and all the estate right title intent property claims and demand whatsoever of them - the said parties of the first part in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the (unreadable) and (unreadable) part and parcel thereof, to have and to hold the said Messuage tenement and Lot of ground hereditament and premises (unreadable words) to be the (unreadable words) his heirs and assigns. In and for the only proper use and behoof of the said part of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said (unreadable) party of the first part for themselves their heirs Executors and Administrators Do by these presents covenant grant and (unreadable three words) with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part and their heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted (unreadable) and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against him the said SAMUEL A. HAINE his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same of any part thereof, shall and will warrant and forever defend. City of Reading, Berks County, The fourteenth day of September Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and sixty one before me an alderman of the City of Reading and County aforesaid personally appeared the above named Samuel A. Haines and Amanda E. his wife and in due form of law acknowledged the above Indenture to their act and deed and desired the same might be recorded as such and the said Amanda E. being of full age and separate and apart from her said Husband by me thereon privately examined and the full contents of the above deed being by me first made known unto her did therefore (unreadable) and say that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord (unreadable series of words) & (unreadable)deliver the above deed with any coercion or compulsion of her said husband. Witness my hand the seal the day and year aforesaid.

David Bright Bucks [4 Daniel>1Abraham] was born on 8 May 1817 in Centre Twp, Berks Co, PA. He died on 4 Jun 1863. He was married to Ellen Hain (daughter of Benjamin Shower Hain and Elizabeth Hain). Ellen Hain was born on 16 Mar. 1817. She died on 4 Feb 1877. David Bright Bucks and Ellan Hain had he following children:

Sarah Bucks, m. John R. Bucks

Catherine Ellen, b. 7 Jan 1859; bap. 20 Aprll 1859 (from the baptisms of Rev. Charles Augustus Pauli, recorded in the History of Hain's Church, 1916 edition, p. 169. Married Ezra S. Hassler

The following information is from Joan Chelson: From History of St. John's (Hain's) Reformed Church of Lower Heidelberg Township, Berks County, Page 179:

Ellenora Hain was born in Berks County, March 16, 1817, baptized June 1, 1817, sponsors, John Gernand and Catharine (Hain) Gernand. She was married January 17, 1843 to David B. Bucks, son of Daniel and Sarah (Brecht) Bucks. He was born in Bern Township May 8, 1817 and died June 4, 1863, while residing on his father's farm one mile south of Wernersville. Ellen died February 4, 1887. They are buried at Hain's Church. Lists three children:

Sarah Bucks m. John R. Bucks ( John R. Bucks b- 3-14-1842 d- 3-19-1932, bur Tulpehocken Trinity U.C.C.)
