This Indenture made the twenty second day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety three, between Jacob Reesor of Cumru Township in the County of Berks, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Yeoman, and Barbara his wife, of the one Part, and Jacob Petry of the Borough of Reading in the County aforesaid weaver, of the other part; Witnesseth that the said Jacob Reesor and Barbara his wife for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds in gold and silver money unto them well and truly in hand paid by the said Jacob Petry at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof do acquit and forever discharge the said Jacob Petry his executors and administrators by these presents have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said Jacob Petry his heirs and assigns all that certain messuage or tenement and lot of ground situate in the Borough of Reading aforesaid and marked in the general plan thereof number four hundred and ninety three, bounded eastward by Queen Street, southward by Lot No. --- Westward by a twenty feet alley and northward by Lot No. --- It being late the estate of Anna Martha Wenrich dec'd and taken into execution and sold by virtue of a writ of Venditioni Exponas directed to Jacob Bower Esquire High Sheriff of the County of Berks aforesaid who at public auction sold and by Deed Poll under his hand and seal bearing date the 10th day of August Anno Domini 1789 and acknowledged in open court, granted the same unto Conrad Fosig in fee who by an indorsement on said Deed Poll bearing date the seventh day of August Anno Domini 1790 did grant and convey the same unto the said Jacob Reeser in fee. Together also with all and singular the buildings improvements houses outhouses barns stables gardens orchards fences ways woods waters water courses rights sights easements liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand of them the said Jacob Reeser and Barbara his wife, of in to or out of the same or any part or parcel thereof. To have and to hold the above mentioned and described Lot No. 493 hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Jacob Petry his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Jacob Petry his heirs and assigns forever. Subject to the payment of the yearly quit or ground rents now due or hereafter to become due and payable for the same unto the chief Lord or Lords of the fee thereof. And the said Jacob Reeser for himself executors and administrators doth covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Jacob Petry his heirs and assigns that he the said Jacob Reeser and his heirs the above mentioned and described lot of ground No. 493 hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto him the said Jacob Petry his heirs and assigns against him the said Jacob Reesor and his heirs and against all and every person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim from by or under him them or any of them shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof said parties to these presents have interchangeably set their hands and seals hereunto dated the day and year first above written.

The 27th day of March Anno Domini 1793 came before me, John Christ Esq. one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County, Benjn. Spyker Jun who being duly sworn according to Law Deposeth and saith that he hath seen Jacob Reeser and Barbara his wife sign seal and deliver the within written indenture as their act and deed and that he this deponent together with Francis Ruth signed their names thereto as evidence and that the name of this deponent thereto signed in his own proper handwriting, and that he has seen Francis Ruth aforesaid also sign his name thereto as a witness and further this deponent says not.
