George F. Hagenman (23d J.D., Berks), born March 7, 1857; died May 11, 1907. Admitted to the Bar January 22, 1881.
He was a son of Hon. Jeremiah Hagenman, who for twenty years was judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Berks County. Having met his death in the appalling railway catastrophe which befell a number of the citizens of Reading accompanying an excursion of the Order of Shriners on the Pacific coast, the Bar meeting held in honor of his memory was more than usually impressive. His brethren of the Bar testified to his conscientiousness as a lawyer, to his fidelity to his clients, and honorable relations towards his fellow practitioners; referring also to his kindness of heart and sympathetic nature.
