A.G. Seyfert, Lancaster county, born in Berks county, April 26, 1852; his parents moved to Lancaster county two years later, where he has since lived; received his education in the public schools, and at the Millersvllle Normal school; taught for a number of years in the public schools of Lancaster county; was president of the New Holland district teachers' institute for nine years; postmaster at Beartown for four years; clerk in the recorder's office five years; a number of years a member of the Republican county committee, and chairman of the same in 1893; was a member of the House of Representatives in 1891-92-93-94 and re-elected for the term of '95 and '96.
