Recently, an 1871 Bible written in was purchased. It is written in German and contains several entries and an obituary which were entered in script. The entries were copied from the Bible as follows:
MARRIAGE RECORD: Jacob B. HIESTAND and Emeline A. STAHL, from Upper Mitford, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania were married Dec. 4, 1869. Witness: Nathan A. STAHL and Rev. Joseph SCHANTZ.
BIRTHS: Jacob, son of John HIESTAND and Elizadine BECHTEL, born Nov. 17, 1835 in Mitford. Godparent: Christian Clemmer CHETRAN [names are unclear]
BIRTH: Emeline A. STAHL, daughter of Nathan STAHL and Chetram Barbara ALBRECHT, born Aug. 2, 1849 in Mitford; Baptized Oct. 12, 1849 by Daniel PEIFER; Godparent: Heinrich RINKER and wife Chetran Sarah

Inside the Bible was a newspaper obituary which reads as follows:
Mrs. Rebecca HEIL died at the home of Jacob HIESTAND at Chapel, Berks County, Pennsylvania. She was born 25 May 1824 and was in her 91st year when she died. She was adopted by Benjamin YEAKEL of Corning and reared in the YEAKEL family. She married Jonathan HEIL who died 30 years before she did. She lived for 20 years with J. YEAKEL on his farm near Allentown.
No children survive.
Interred in Lutheran Cemetery at Old Zionsville with her husband.
