The working theory I've had recently is that Frantz Krick's son Adam is the ancestor of my line of Cricks as follows:
Adam Crick and his wife Mary Hammer have eight children:
Daniel, Lewis, David, Susanna, Kate, Christina, John, and Jacob. Their youngest, Jacob Crick, married Angeline Flick and have three sons (maybe more, but that's all I know of):
Uriah, James, and Henry Alexander. Henry Alexander Crick married Elizabeth LATSHAW and they have a family right after the Civil War, including:
Reuben Franklin Crick, Edward Morris Crick, Carlton Burt Crick, John C. Fremont Crick, and Henry Ambrose Crick. I am descended from Edward Morris Crick. He married Ann Ada Greider. Their children were:
Mabel Elora Crick, Joe Crick, Bernice Geneva Crick, Eddie Maurice Crick, and Ada Elizabeth Crick. My grandmother is Bernice Geneva Crick. She married my grandfather, Ira Thomas of Canon City Colorado.
So this is the longwinded comment on your posting. Where do you fit into all this?
My line of the Crick family left Clarion County and ended up in Pratt, Kansas, then Pueblo, Colorado.
Yes we are related. Susanna Crick Married Peter Switzer and they had several one of which was William Hamilton Switzer who married Sarah Ann Nail. One of their children was James Melville Switzer who married Ida Mae Bowersox my great grand parents. Their daughter Mabel Belle Switzer who married Howard Learoy Tice Grandparents.
Enough of my lineage. Jacob the brother of Susanna and two of the children of Adam Crick died the same year 1857 and Adam and Susanna on the same day I do not know why but assume it was some kind of epidemic.
Jacob Crick and Angelina Flick had 10 children, Benjamin,James H,Henry A, Uriah F, Casper H,Thomas A,William F, Mary Savannah, Delilah, and Sarah A.
I cannot make the connection from Adam Crick and the Kricks in Berks County but I am reasonably sure he does.

Mary and Daniel Smith migrated to Iowa c1857. They had five children: George, Jacob, Elizabeth, Henry and D.O. Smith.
I have no other info on Mary Moore. Mary and Daniel Smith were my 2ggrandparents. Would like to correspond with any descendents of these families.
Here is my question: I have Abraham Chestnutwood listed as a private in Captain Rhoad's Company, 3rd Battalion, with the Berks County Militia during the American Revolutionary War. He is listed as "Fifth Class," no doubt along with his neighbors Jonathan Boone and Jacob and Samuel Rhoads. The problem I have encountered is that I can find no other documentation of his military service, other than this reference, and an article which mentions one of his grandaughters whose grandfather (Abraham Chestnutwood) fought in the Revolutionary War.
Any suggestions on how to further document this ancestor's military service or information concerning his service would be greatly appreciated.
The birthplace of her husband, Thomas MILLARD Jr., is in question. He is the son of Thomas MILLARD Sr., who was born in Warwickshire, England,approx.1648, and who brought Thomas Jr. with him in 1681/1682 to build housing for William Penn
and the Quakers who were soon coming from England. However, we have conflicting data for Barbara Millard's husband--either his birdate is 1699 in Birmingham England, or 1673 in Quincy, Norfolk County, Virginia. The date and place of marriage (1699, "Pennsylvania Colony) to Barbara, however, is not in question.

Regardless of his date and place of birth, it has been well established that Thomas Millard Jr. died in Berks County, Pennsylvania in 1761.

Elisabeth's parents brought nearly all the LAUER children with them in 1823 from Gleisweiler, Pfalz, and started a brewery business in Reading, which was carried on by the sons - Frederick LAUER, in particular. in time, Abraham SPRENGER joined the brewery trade, later to move on to Lancaster, PA.
I am interested in knowing more about the families while they were in Reading.
John was remarried to Harriet ? by 1850. I think he was the grandson of Ludwig YOUNG, but I haven't been able to prove the connection.

I have a chart for Lenart's branch. I could not find a Leonard born in that year. Lenart had a 4 brothers so there are other branches.
