E-mail: Allen Donald Tallman
Query: William TALLMAN son of Benjamin TALLMAN(2), Peter TALLMAN (1) and Patience Durfee. William was born in 1720 and died 1791. Much more data on the William Tallman family can be located on the Internet address http://booneinfo.com/tallman/fam03909.htm.William Tallman, and Anne Lincoln their son, Benjamin, married Dinah Boone. Dinah Boone is Daniel Boone's first cousin. (See Chart, page 535 in Spraker's "The Boone Family" BIR: DEA: MAR: Greater Tallman Family Newsletter Summer 1994. They resided near Reading, then Philadelphia County, Pa. then Berks Co., and had 11 children. By 1776 all of them had died except the eldest, son, Benjamin born 1745. William Tallman listed in the PennArchives, Third Series, Vol 15. It is well known by TALLMAN Historians that William TTALLMAN was born in Rhode Island to Benjamin Tallman and Patience Durfee. All of this is based on William Tallman's Bible that has the entree "William Tallman born in Bode Island". This very well could be Rhode Island, but it also could be New Jersey. Which would change the progenitors of William. I have not been able to prove either birth place at this time. So I will go along with the Rhode Island theory until I can prove otherwise, being there are other evidences to lean in the Rhode Island direction. Early in life William left Rhode Island and probably spent some time in Burlington and Monmouth Co., New Jersey with his cousins. He later went to Berks Co., Pa. The records in Rhode Island and Berks county Pennsylvania gave his occupation as a weaver once and as an innkeeper, but usually as a farmer. After he came to Berks County, Pa. he was married to Ann Lincoln on 20 Oct. 1740 or 41. (Incidentally President Abraham Lincoln is a lineal descendent of Ann Lincoln's brother, John Lincoln. John Lincoln was the Great Grand-father to Abraham). Ann was the daughter of Mordecai and Hannah (Salters) Lincoln. The Lincolns came from Hingham, near Warwick, in Norfolk County, Eastern England. Samuel Lincoln, the grand-father of Mordecai Lincoln, came to Salem, Massachusetts in 1637, and later lived in Hingham, Mass. Mordecai Lincoln was an iron founder and came to Monmouth Co., New Jersey.

Query: My mother and her parents were originally from Philadelphia. My maternal grandfather's name was Carl ELDRIDGE. He married my maternal grandmother sometime between 1915 and 1923.  Her maiden name was Nina Louise CAMP,or CAMPE.  I am trying desperately to track down any information I can on them, and their ancestors.  Carl Eldridge died sometime in the early l920's when my mother was just a toddler. Nina Louise Camp Eldridge never remarried, nor did she ever have anymore children. Her biological parents died,[I've been told of accidental death} when she was a young child. She was raised by foster parents. So I'm not even sure if CAMP or CAMPE is her biological name or her adoptive name.  All I know is that the foster father that raised her was a doctor.  Any direction that you can send me in, or any information you can give me would greatly appreciated.  Thank you. Query: I am looking for proof of birth for HENRY S MILLER.  According to his tombstone and obituary, he was born November 7, 1826 in Maidencreek Township, Berks County, PA.  Howvever, I can not find any records of his birth.  Recent informatin points to strong evidence that his parents are HENRY and ELIZABETH (SEIDEL) MILLER.  ELIZABETH is the daughter of the wealthy land owner HENRY SEIDEL who died in 1847. According to HENRY SEIDEL's will, HENRY and ELIZABETH had five children, two sons and three daughters.  The two sons were SAMUEL(born Mt. Pleasant Twp, Columbia County, PA in 1818) and HENRY S. MILLER.  Since no evidence of HENRY MILLER's birth has been found, I feel it may be possible that he was also born in Columbia County.  HENRY SEIDEL owned a plantation and mill in Mt. Pleasant Twp, Columbia Co.  Any information on this HENRY S MILLER would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Query: BOLLINGERS:  I am seeking information on a Issac Bollinger (B17378York, PA-D1770PA).  This is where my confusion lies, I have 2 conflicting stories of parentage: (1)I have a 2nd hand geneology list that says Wm Henry Bollinger(B1750- D1840PA) was the father of Frederick Bollinger(B1865-D1843)who married Elizabeth (Betsy)Weaver they had either 17/20 children (I can only list 17). (2)What I have gathered on the web (ancestry.com) to be exact, Issac Bollinger (B1738-D1770) was the father of Frederick Bollinger. Does anyone have concrete information on this?  I am descended from Frederick Bollinger and would like to clear this up.  Also, if Issac Bollinger is indeed the father of Frederick (I believe he is), then where does Wm. Henry Bollinger fit in?  I have not been able to successfully find anything on him at all.  Any clarity on this would be greatly appreciated.  Confused.
