In 1864 Maria and children lived in Womelsdorf They are: John 11; Agnes 9; Jacob 8; Albert 7; William 5; and James 2. Apparently Maria died prior to 6/13/1876 as James had a guardian, Andrew J. Hain, appointed for him as both parents were deceased. At that time they lived at 146 S. 8th St., Reading. The name was changed to QUINN after 1876. Who are Henry & Maria parents?

His widow is listed as Elisabeth and his place of residence as Greenwich Township. When did he come to America? Was Frederick HUMMEL born April 1761 of Greenwich Township his son? This younger Frederick resided in Northumberland County after serving in the Revolutionary War. He is buried at St. Peter's Blue Church, Northumberland County beside his wife, Magdalena HAEFNER. His death date March 19,1844. Was Michael ZUERN, born abt. 1755 Richmond Twp. the son of Frederick ZUERN? Frederick's will was filed March 13, 1769 and names his wife Anna Dorothea and minor son, Michael. Zion Moselem Church records list a Frederick ZUERN (ZERN) and Anna Dorothea SCHOLL as parents of Johann Michael ZERN, christened March 13, 1756. Is this the same Michael ZUERN who later served in the Revolutionary War and then moved to Northumberland County? Would like to exchange information with anyone interested in these families.

Query: SQUINT/QUINN. Searching for information on Henry SQUINT, b ca 1825-30. He. md. Maria Zerbe Feb. 22, 1851 at Womelsdorf, Berks Co., PA. Henry enlisted in the 55th Reg of PA Vol-Pvt., in Womelsdorf on Aug. 13, 1862. Henry died in Prison at Richmond, VA on June 23, 1864 from wounds received in action. In 1864 his children were John, 11; Anges, 9; Jacob, 8; Albert, 7; William, 5; & James, 2. They were all residing in Womelsdorf. Mahlon Zerbe & Sarah Brine were witnesses to affidavit for Pension on Sept. 6, 1864. Apparently Maria died prior to 1876 as son had a guardian, Andrew J. Hain, appointed for him on June 13, 1876. They lived at 146 S. 8th St., Reading, Pa. Later family name was changed to QUINN.

Samuel died Dec. 3, 1871 in Heidelberg TWp., Berks Co PA and is buried at St. Daniel's Robesonia, PA Hannah was the d/o J. William & Elizabeth FOLTZ and they were the sponsors of their 1st three children, Priscilla, William & Augustus who were bp. in the Zion Luth & Ref Ch. Womelsdorf, PA Other childrens were: Richard, Nathan, Charles, Aaron , Lucy Ann and Catharine. All of the boys except William, stayed in the Newmanstown area as they and their familes are buried there in the Millcreek Cemetery. Hannah is also buried there and her tombstone reads Hannah BORKHOLDER.
