Query: AYLER
In 1820 I located one Ayler family in Berks county, which consisted of
husband wife and three children. My gg grandfathers name was Christopher
Ayler born in Berks in this county in 1820. At least that is what he
told the people when he joined the Pennsy Volunteers in 1861 when he
enlisted to fight in the Civil War. Were there any connections of these
two families? He had to have parents somewhere but, sofar, I have been
unable to locate any.

From a 1968 article in the "Messenger", his grave stone is one of the few
stones still legible. The meetinghouse is six miles northeast of

but the passengers were mostly German.Her parents were JOHAN JACOB
FULLMAN/VOLLMAN/FELLMAN and ANNA BARBARA SEIGFRIED.
JOHAN AND SIBILA had several children born to them in Berks Co., PA.
JOHAN AND SIBILA died and were buried at Christ Lutheran Church or
Reading Lutheran Church in Berks Co. as were several of their
children. I would be happy to exchange info. with anyone who can help me
find their descendants.
The family name is spelled numerous ways. My family seems to have gone
from PA to MD to VA to TN to AR. The name is now spelled CROWELL which
is really confusing since this is also the English spelling for
a totally different line of people who lived in the same area as the
German line.
