Paulin, Thomas W., and Emma M Reed were married in Cheshire township at her home, December 25, 1881. They are both natives of the county of Meigs, he born June 20, 1856, and his wife March 14, 1863. The parents of Mr. Paulin are Solomon and Julietta (Hamilton) Pauline, who settled in this county in 1879, coming from Meigs county. His wife's parents are Reuben and Elizabeth (Mauck) Reed, who came from Meigs county in 1867. The grandfather of the subject of this sketch was a soldier in the war of 1812. Thomas W. Paulin was engaged in Pittsburgh as a brick-mason until the 11th of May, 1882, when an accident occurred to him by falling, dislocating his knee, but after a short time he recovered sufficient to return to his avocation. His postoffice address is Middleport, Meigs county, Ohio.
