Hunter, Joseph H., born, Pittsburg, PA, (Allegheny Co) Nov. 23, 1867;
son of John F. and Mary A. (Fedder) Hunter; educated in public schools of Pittsburg, and at Western University; married at Pittsburg, Nov. 19, 1893, Sarah P. Ford.
Began active career as electircian in employ of the Allegheny County Light Co., in charge of electirc testing; manager Pittsburg Light Co., which was merged with Allegheny County
Light Co.; resigned to accept position as superintendent fo the Ferrous Chemical Co., later associating for about two years with Dr. J. A. Koch in experimental work;
engineer of way, Pittsburg & Allegheny Telephone Co.; acted as vice president and general manager National Cable Wire Co. until the company went into hands of receiver;
was appointed by the court as receiver of the company and still continues; assisted in organizing and incorporation the Detroit Insulated Wire Co., 1906; director of Gogebic Iron
Syndicate of Wisconsin; administrator of the late Henry P. Ford, Pittsburg. Republican. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Mason. Club: Detroit. Recreation: Amateur photography.
