Robert Wallace firecracker injury

From The McDonald PA Record, July 9, 1892, page unknown:

At the celebration at the Robinson Run church in the Fourth, Robert WALLACE, clerk at Samuel SHANE’s hardware store, had his right hand terribly mangled and almost blown off by the explosion of a large firecracker which he was lighting. Mr. WALLACE’s many McDonald friends hope soon to see him back at his post.
