This is the place to POST A QUERY. I've arranged with the folks at PA-Roots to set up a series of new Message Boards for Juniata Co PA. This is an excellent resource for sharing items of interest with other researchers. Over time, the documentation available online will make it easier to find references to our elusive ancestors.
Researchers are encouraged to enter documentation discovered in their own research, rather than keeping it locked up in their personal file cabinets. Prior to 2001 many sites individually collected queries for their specific interest area. As early as 1998 commercial Message Boards evolved into a sophisticated system for organizing practically every location and surname, and became a coordinated system of messages that are indexed and include many useful features. Unfortunately, the old query and surname submissions could not be universally converted to the new format so they are listed below by year, archived in the format in which they were originally submitted. New queries or surnames cannot be added to these lists.

Commercial Message Boards
Juniata County PA
The most popular commercial genealogy Message Boards currently on the Internet are Genealogy.com's GenForum Message Boards and the RootsWeb/Ancestry Message Boards. Submissions to the Juniata Co PA boards can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate icon below.
In July 2001, message types were added to the RootsWeb/Ancestry Message Boards which allow submitters to categorize their queries as: Query, Bible, Biography, Birth, Cemetery, Census, Death, Deed, Immigration, Lookup, Marriage, Military, Obituary, Pension, and Will. Although this enhances the organization of the queries into specific categories, it has become cumbersome and confusing to the novice researcher. To make certain your query or info will be indexed under a specific type as well as the general search, choose an appropriate message type from the drop down box before posting. Experienced users can even attach photos and GEDCOM files to their postings.
New researchers may want to read these helpful tips on writing a successful query or refer to this list of abbreviations.
