Samuel Gibson's Probate 22 Nov 1816 Franklin Township, Fayette, PA and 4th Generation {FS# L4Y1-TBF} notarized paperwork. 6 of his children were born in a cabin on a hill in Valley Creek just below Valley Forge. Later Valley Creek became part of Valley Forge, so everyone searching is listing them to have been born at Valley Forge. Samuel Gibson was at Valley Forge during that terrible winter and performed blacksmith chores shoeing horses, & sharpening flit locks. The blacksmith items captured from the British were given to Samuel after the war and passed down. They are in a 150 year old George Gibson Barn in Iowa. Found Allen Farm in Franklin with a cemetery with no Allen but Gibson, no relationship.
