FRANK KAY, of Youngsville
1900
On Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock Frank Kay, one of Youngsville's most respected citizens, died at his home in that place of conjestion [sic] of the lungs at the age of 38 years, after an illness of only about ten days.
Mr. Kay leaves a wife, son and one daughter, also his father, Thomas Kay and four brothers, Charles and Allan, of Marienville, Marion, of Youngsville and Frederick, of Warren survive.
He was a member of the Youngsville lodge of Odd Fellows, which organization was in charge of the funeral which took place today at 11 o'clock and was loved and respected by all who knew him, for he was possessed of those many manly qualities, which are most admired.
For a number of years Mr. Kay was engaged in the merchantile business at Lottsville, but moved to Youngsville some three years ago, where he accepted the very lucrative position of foreman of the Youngsville Furniture factory, and which he held until his death.
Interment was in the Stillson Hill cemetary [sic].

NANCY M. (RULAND) KINNEAR
1836-1906
Briefs under the heading of Tidioute News:
SUDDEN DEATH.--Mrs. Nancy, widow of the late Ganley Kinnear, died last Monday morning. She came from her bedroom and sitting down in her chair simply went to the beyond. No struggle, and her attendant only noticed that her head dropped to one side. Probably dropsy of the heart. Help was had but help was of no avail. The summons had come and was met.
On the very same page was Mrs. Kinnear's obituary:
Nancy M. Kinnear
Was born Oct. 9, 1836, near Russell, Warren Co., Pa. She was married to Ganley Kinnear over fifty years ago and had lived all of her married life in Tidioute. Three children were born to her--Ella M., James M. and Leslie M. Kinnear, all of who are still living. She has one brother living, John Ruland, Russell, Pa.
She joined and was a member of the Methodist church for most of her life time. Was of bright, sunny but retiring disposition with a kind word for all, but glad to welcome people at her home.
A few years ago she had the misfortune to break her hip which kept her confined to her room but for all that she looked on the bright side of life and great hope for the future life and to Him that doeth all things well.
Sad memory muses while we stand
In that familiar place;
We'll miss the clasping of a hand,
And a vision of a face.The funeral was held at her home Wednesday, Dec. 12, 1906, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Fradenburg. Interment in Tidioute cemetery.

MAUDE KIRKPATRICK
1876 - 1900
Death of Mrs. E. L. Kirkpatrick.

The unexpected death of Mrs. Maude McCoy Kirkpatrick, which occured [sic] Friday June 22, 1900, at 1:00 o'clock, at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cheers in Limestone township, created a feeling of profound sorrow to her many friends and caused general regret in the community where she was well known.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick had been in failing health for several months and about four weeks ago, she with her aunt, Mrs. Seguine came to Limestone thinking a change would be a benefit, but she gradually grew worse until Monday she was compelled to take her bed but was not considered dangerous until within an hour of her death.
The deceased was born in Pine Grove Township, Warren Co., April 29, 1876. She was a daughter of Wallace and Orpha McCoy. Her mother died when she was five years of age, after which she lived with her aunt, Mrs. G. W. Seguine. The deceased had been a member of the church for several years and lived an earnest christian life.
Being of a kind, congenial disposition, she was a favorite among her many friends and acquaintances, always having a kind word for everybody.
She was married October 7, 1899, to Mr. E. L. Kirkpatrick of Tiona.
That she should be taken when just a bride, and when her life was most useful to her friends and pleasant to herself, is one of the mysteries we try in vain to solve and which is understood only by him who doeth all things well. Her bright genial countenance will be missed not only in the home circle, but in all social gatherings.
Besides her sorrowing husband, Mrs. Kirkpatrick's father, two brothers and a sister survive her. The funeral conducted by Rev. H. M. Burns was held Sunday at 2:30 o'clock at the residence of William Cheers. Robed in her bridal attire she was borne to her last resting place by six young ladies of her most intimate friends. To the sorrowing friends let me say, "She is not here, her spirit has arisen to realms where spirits life doth dwell. To that long home beyond that deep, dark river to live with God who doeth all things well."

KIRKPATRICK CHILDREN: Hazel and Ray
--Mr. Charles C. Kirkpatrick, of Tiona, lost a child two weeks ago by diphtheria and a second one this morning. Mr. and Mrs. Kirkpatrick are both ill with the same disease.

[Warren County coordinator's note: Warren county death records indicate Hazel Kirkpatrick, 8 years of age, died Nov 6, 1893, after suffering for 14 days. She was buried November 7. Ray "Kikpatrick", 4, died November 16 and was buried on the 18th. Parents were recorded as Charles S. and Blanche Kirkpatrick. See Death Records, Book 1, page 63, at the Warren County courthouse.
Both Hazel and Ray were buried in the Oakland Cemetery, outside Warren.]
MALCOLM R. KOLFRAT
1893 - 1894
--An infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo Kolfrat died last night, after an illness of about a week.
