Surrounded by beautiful forest at the intersection of Roper Hollow Road and Cornplanter road, Seven Dolors Cemetery is very small. Tall stone columns, all that remain of a fenced boundary, stand as sentries. The gravestones are few, set in the thick mossy grass, and are found in the southeast corner. The cemetery is mostly level and well-tended.

Driving directions from the Hickory Street bridge in Warren (about 12 miles, 25 minutes): Drive east on Pennsylvania Ave W/US-6 (business route) to Market Street. Turn left on Market Street, then right on W. 5th Avenue. Cross the bridge over Conewango Creek, where the road now becomes E. 5th Avenue. Continue on this road for about 3.5 miles where it will turn into Scandia Road. Drive another 5 miles to the village of Scandia and straight through.
The highway on the other side of Scandia is called the Warren-Olean Road. Continue about 2.5 miles. Look for the Roper Hollow Road on the right. Follow this dirt road a little over half a mile through farm fields and into the woods. The cemetery will be on the left just as the main dirt road (Roper Hollow) curves sharply to the right (south).
Another smaller dirt road (Nelson Road) follows the cemetery boundary on the north, just as Roper Hollow makes the sharp curve. Parking is only available on the berm of the dirt roads; Nelson Road is a narrow lane, so consider Roper Hollow your best bet.

According to Warren county death records, William was born in Ireland. A farmer, he died of "old age" on June 6, 1904, at age 90 years, 8 months, and 4 days. He was buried in the "Catholic Cemetery" on June 8. |

| Bridget, his wife, was also born in Ireland and also died of old age. She was 81 years and 2 months when death took her on January 4th. Burial was in the "Catholic Cemetery" on January 15th. | ||

Everyone's dream find in a cemetery! Not only the country of birth, but also the county and parish. The very clear inscription reads: JOHANNAH. DOWNS. BORN IN THE DIED DEC. 25. 1893 REST IN PEACE.
Warren county death records included a different spelling to her name: Johanna Downes. She was born in "Limrick", Ireland, and died of "old age" in Germany, Pa., at age 90. She was buried on the 27th of December in the "McMahon Cemetery". |

| Dennis, born in County Cork, Ireland, was single, a farmer and blacksmith, according to Warren county death records. He died, after a year's illness, of consumption and was buried in the "Quaker Hill Cemetery" on the 7th of March. | ||
