Restored by the Tidioute Lions Club in 1969, the Old Deerfield Cemetery is one of the oldest in Warren County and well worth a visit.

Driving directions from the Hickory Street bridge in Warren: go west on Pennsylvania Ave W/US-6 (business route) along the Allegheny River. US Hwy 62 will join with US 6 before you leave Warren and the highways will become a free-access 4-lane. Drive through Starbrick and continue west. Merge south, following US-62 toward Tidioute/Tionesta (at this point US 6 will continue west to Youngsville). In approximately 16 miles through beautiful countryside along the Allegheny River, turn right onto Route 127 and cross the bridge into Tidioute.
At the T-intersection, turn right onto Main Street and drive through downtown and on into the residential area. Turn left on Chestnut Street and drive uphill one block. A tall stand of pines will be on the right as you come to the stop sign. Turn right onto Jefferson Street. The cemetery entrance is located halfway down the block on the right. There is no parking lot, so park on the berm beside the fence.
Take a stroll through the cemetery...
The tall cemetery sign is close beside this gate into the gently sloping grounds. |

All the stones are old, most are very tall and thin.
While the cemetery is within the city limits, the grounds are spacious with mature trees. |
||
Before the new fence was installed, a wrought iron fence marked the entrance,
as this older photograph shows.
