Leroy Smith, and his identical twin brother, Benjamin, were born to William E. and Sarah Jennings Smith
on 16 June 1887 in Jamestown, PA. Bert and Benjamin loved to
fool people with their identical appearance.
Bert's grandfather (identity unknown)
was reported to have served in the civil war.

Leroy Smith lived in Sharpsville at the time of his
enlistment. He received a victory medal.
He died in Oct 1979 and is buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Median OH.
