The Presbyterians built a
church in New Hamburgh in 1853, Casper
Kamerer being the contractor. It was opened for services
the year following as a free church. It was not fully completed until
1868. The property was finally sold to the Reformed Church. The
organization is now [1888] known as the New Hamburg Reformed Church,
and is in a prosperous condition.

but it was not finished so as to be used, until the fall of 1854, and
there was not permanent pulpit and seats until 1868. It was
considered a free church, but the Presbyterians controlled it , and it
was finally sold to the German Reformed Society who still [1877] occupy
