Mr. John Spory, a well
known resident of Hickory township, died Monday from paralysis, in the
82nd year of his age. The deceased was stricken with the malady about a
year ago, and his illness dated from that time. He suffered a second
stroke Monday which caused his death. Mr. Spory was one of the pioneers
of Hickory township, and was highly respected by a large circle of
friends. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Phillip Garts, of
Pymatuning township, and Mrs. August Miller, of Hermitage, and
one son, Adam Spory, of Neshannock. Funeral services were held
from the German Reformed church, at Keel Ridge, Wednesday
afternoon, Rev. Stewart of the Greenfield Presbyterian church
conducting the services. Interment in Keel Ridge Cemetery.
