C. J. Rollinson Taken by Death
Clifford
J. Rollinson, widely known Hickory Township resident and owner of the
Rollinson Turkey Farm, died at 8:30 a.m. today in Sharon General
Hospital 10 minutes after being admitted following a heart attack. He
was 60.
Mr. Rollinson, who was chairman of the Agricultural
Stabilization and Conservation Committee of Mercer, was on his way to a
meeting of the committee when he was stricken.
A lifelong
resident of Hickory Township he lived on South Keel Ridge Road. He was
a member of the New Virginia Methodist Church; F and AM, Lodge 389, of
West Middlesex; New Castle Consistory; Zem Zem Shrine of Erie; Mercer
County Shrine Club and the Hickory Volunteer Fire Department.
Born
in Hickory Township, Sep. 20, 1898 he was the son of Havilah and Mary
Ellen Baker Rollinson. He married the former Grace Persch on Nov. 20,
1925.
Surviving besides his wife are three children, Twila, wife
of Fred Cusick, and Duane and Thomas Rollinson, all of South Keel Ridge
Road, and three grandchildren, Timmy, and Susan Cusick and Bradley
Rollinson.
