Mrs. Clara
Simons-McMichael, aged 42 years, wife of C.E. McMichael, of 720
May street, died in the McKeesport hospital at 1:20 p.m., yesterday.
Death resulted from peritonitis following an operation for intestinal
obstruction. She was admitted to the hospital on May 29.
Mrs.
McMichael was born in Mercer county, Pa., and was the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Simons. Her father is still living at the age of
83, but her mother died about four years ago [1909]. She had been a
resident of McKeesport for about 16 years and was esteemed by a wide
circle of friends. She was a member of the Coursin Street Methodist
Episcopal Church and of the Ladies' Aid Society of that congregation
and was connected with the Day Nursery. She was also chairman of class
No. 25, of the Neighborhood Bible classes.
Her husband,
C.E. McMichael, and two daughters, Miss Charline and Miss
June McMichael survive, all at home. She also is survived by two
borthers, William H. Simons and James W. Simons, both of
Clark's Mills , Mercer County.
