Miss Maggie Wright, who
was a teacher in our schools till compelled to resign a few months ago
on account of ill health, died at the residence of her father, J. M.
Wright, in Greene township, on Sabbath morning last, aged about 30
years. Miss Wright was an excellent young lady and a popular and
efficient teacher. She had been a consistent member of the
Lutheran church for several years prior to her death. A delegation of
thirteen of the teachers of our schools attended the funeral on
Tuesday, and carried with them a beautiful floral offering in the shape
of a pillow, with the inscription, "Our Teacher," upon it, which was
provided by children in our schools who have been Miss Wright's pupils
for a few years past. Rev. H. W. Roth, D. D., assisted by rev. Dr.
Kunkleman conducted the funeral services. The remains were taken to
Rocky Glen Cemetery, near Adamsville, for burial. .
