Mrs.
Lena Lichtenberger Robbins, 68, wife of J.L. Robbins, retired
postmaster at the South Side post-office, died at 3:25 a.m. today at
her home, 317 Central Avenue, following a stroke suffered at her home
Friday afternoon. She suffered a stroke about four years ago and
had been in poor health since that time.
Born in Clarion County
on May 4, 1883, she made her home in Franklin when a child. She
was graduated from the Franklin high School and was employed by the
Manifold Company and the Campbell Department store until her marriage
in 1903 when she came to Oil City.
Mrs. Robbins was an active member of the First Baptist Church.
Besides
her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Louise Montie, at
home, and Mrs. Marion Whipple, of Warren. The latter is the wife
of Dr. Carl E. Whipple, superintendent of schools at Warren.
Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Floyd Roxbury, of Wadsworth, Ohio, and five grandchildren. Two brothers, Charles Lichtenberger, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Joseph Lichtenberger, of Franklin, preceeded her in death.
The
body was taken to the Steffee Funeral Home where friends may call and
where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday. Interment
will be made in the Oak Cemetery at Sandy Lake.
