Lauren
L Booth, aged 65 years, well known farmer of West Salem township, died
at the home of his nephew, Lauren F. Booth, Saturday evening, after
several months' illness resulting from a stroke of paralysis. Mr.
Booth was born at Big Bend October 3, 1861 and had been a lifelong
resident of Mercer county. He was a son of the late Harvey and
Cordelia Bacon Booth. Surviving are two brothers, Frank and
William H Booth, and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Bidlake and Mrs. Mary
Moore, all of West Salem township. Three other sisters, Mrs. Emma
Stowe, Mrs. Sarah Gill and Mrs. Anna McKnight preceded him in
death. Funeral services were held from the home of his nephew
Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Mr. Shileds of Jerusalem Evangelical church
officiating. Burial was in Rock Ridge cemetery.
