Mr. John Webb, an old
resident of Jackson township, died at his home on Saturday last from
the effects of a cancer on his tongue. It first became troublesome
about nine months ago, since which time he has been a great sufferer,
being unable to take but little nourishment for some weeks previous to
his death.
Mr. Webb had been a member of Cottage M. E. church
for over thirty years, was regarded as a conscientious Christian man,
and had the respect of all who knew him. He leaves two daughters, Mrs.
John Moon and Mrs. C. C. Hayford, to mourn their loss..
