JACOB
G. BENNINGHOFF, clothing merchant, was born in Venango County, Penn.,
May 13, 1850, and is a son of Martin and Mary Benninghoff, residents of
West Salem Township, whither they removed in 1865 Our subject grew to
manhood in this county, and in 1880 began clerking in the clothing
house of Henlein & Bacher. In February, 1885, he became a
member of the firm of Bacher, Benninghoff & Co., to which he still
belongs. Mr. Benninghoff was married April 11, 1888, to Miss Minnie,
daughter of S. H. Ross, of Greenville. He is a Republican in politics,
and a member of the I.O.O.F. society.
