August Huck
Was born in Baden Baden, Germany. Entered the US on 17 November 1860 on the Ship Teutonia by way of Hamburg and Southampton. Served in Co H 13th Pa Cavalry from 08 September 1864 until 04 July 1865. Was mustered in to the Sharon GAR post #254 on 26 July 1889.
Husband of Louisa Winterknecht Huck. Married in Saint Mary Church, New Castle Lawrence County, Pa on 16 January 1868 Is interred in the Civil War Veterans plot.
Father of August Huck, Jr. and Josephine Huck Jones.
