The
Shenango-Penn Mold Company, a foundry specializing in
ingots and stools, was incorporated in 1927. They are now dependent
upon Sharon Steel and Republic from Youngstown fir their iron supply.
For these many years it has been this town’s principal industry.
Equally important, the William P.
Snyder family have always been interested in the problems
of the community and have stood ready to help in any way they were
asked. Their presence here these past 68 years has contributed greatly
to the prosperity of the community. It was fitting and proper then that
the Sharpsville Board of Education did in 1963 name our Middle School,
the William P. Snyder
Junior High School.
