DICKINSON TWP.- MARTIN FARM GRAVEYARD

Houks Family; (Narrative of the graveyard by Jeremiah Zeamer);

This place I visited on Oct., 7, 1905, a son of the late Simon Martin

going with me and pointing out the way. There is now nothing in

sight to indicate that it at any time was a burying place, but William

H. Gibb says he remembers visiting the place when there was

something like a vault there. William Martin, son of the late George

Martin, Sen., says it was the family burying ground of the Houks,

who owned the farm before his father bought it, and that he

remembers having seen tombstones there bearing inscriptions.
