In 2004, six families formed Cornerstone Preparatory Academy to provide a cost-effective, college-preparatory education that combines traditional and home schooling. The school's name comes from Ephesians 2:19-22, which the founding families prayed would describe the school's future. In 2016, Cornerstone Christian Preparatory Academy merged with Wilson Christian Academy, a private Christian school in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. The school kept the name Cornerstone Christian Preparatory Academy and remained at the Wilson Christian Academy location. Cornerstone Christian Preparatory Academy is a non-public school that is accredited for grades K-12 by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It is also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International. The school's mission is to provide a godly atmosphere while maintaining high academic standards.
